Last Day in our House

This is the last day in our house. The place is a mess as we make sure we have everything packed that needs to be packed. We are spending the next two days in a pet friendly motel. My husband has to teach a class on those days and then on Friday it is off to Escondido. I am excited and apprehensive about taking the animals. I get to live by the ocean! That has been a dream of mine.

I can't wait till I can start making watches again. I have 3 that I need to list. You will have to wait and see them. lol

We are getting closer and closer to our moving date. It's Friday today and we go to the pet friendly motel on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The movers, cleaners and carpet cleaners come during those days and then we actually move on Friday. We will start early morning.

I have been trying to bead but my creative process keeps getting interrupted with practical tasks. My husband got me these wonderful beads and I am dying to use them in a watch but I keep thinking of things I need to do. I will have my beads with me in the motel so I can bead then. I will also have a wireless hookup to my computer. Yes I said computer...I don't have a lap top. We are going to carry my comp into the room.

This move is a life changing event. I have ALWAYS wanted to live by the water. Now I am going to be 15 minutes away from the sea. The ocean speaks to me. I am so thankful that I will live by the water.

Gonna complain now

So my husband is in San Diego looking for a house to rent that will take 3 dogs and 2 cats and 2 humans and I am at home attempting to get some more things done. It is the middle of today and I bend over to do something and guess what happens? My back goes out!!!!! That's right you read me right. Hubby is having no luck with the house seeking...I am stressing and feeling helpless and my stress goes right into my back. This is not a good thing! So now he tells me I have to relax and let my back heal. Oh yeah RIGHT like that is going to happen. I will do my best.

Another new shop

I decided to take my watches one last place. I am trying to find my niche since selling is a bit slow right now. It is at MadeitMyself.com I will put a link on my blog here. I am just throwing out some nets to see if I catch any fish.

Moving is still coming along. But I am not going to waste my time talking about that. I made two more watches this week and will or might list them this week. Hope everyone is doing well.

I made something special

Today, I made a necklace for my friend Dara. Since I am moving to San Diego in the middle of July we are meeting on Friday to just talk a bit. I wanted to leave her something to remember me by. I am sure we will talk by phone but it will not be the same. It is a really pretty necklace made of dyed chrysocolla, carnelian, green turquise, and amethyst. It has copper spacer beads and a copper toggle clasp. She does not wear watches or I would have made her a watch! LOL I hope she likes it. I usually don't make things other then watches and earrings.

MJ's Memorial

I am watches and listening to Michael Jackson's memorial service and it makes me very side to think of a music world without his presence and influence. I will miss him.

I have my very first one and know that when you find one that touches your heart you want to keep it forever. She makes earrings too and other fun things. If you read her profile you will see that she is a dog lover. That makes her okay in my book. As is posted in my profile I have 3 small to medium size dogs that are my animal companions (and 2 cats).

I just made another watch and want to list it. But my husband has a hard time getting around to taking pics of it when it is only one watch. See? I gotta learn that end of my business. Doncha think?

Balanced: Look at this!

I went into a chat room this morning minding my own business when someone posted one of my watches on the side of the screen. I was flattered to say the least. But it made me go to her shop. I loved what I found! I found a purple necklace that I had to have! I am moving (yes I have only 2 weeks to pack up and move to San Diego from Sacramento!) so funds are short but she made arrangements with me and I will be getting it at the end of July! It is my favorite color purple and EVERYTHING! You can see the pic of it at the top. New Blog

oI had to make another blog because I somehow lost the other one. I am using my blog to share the process of creativity as well as share what affects my creativity. I would also like to use this blog to show off other people's talent.

Speaking of how outer events affect me, I have not be inspired to make any watches this week because I have been preoccupied with a cat who's health is failing. My family is also deciding to move to San Diego and relocation is going to be a real challenge for all of us. I am hoping my sick cat will survive it. All that seems to be overshadowing the creative process.

I did get some new beads today. I was able to see color schemes and put beads together. That was a positive accomplishment. I am finding I "work" best with calmness around me.
