Father's Day...Better Late than Never

I am writing this for on of Etsy Blogger's Carnivals. It was this or my fav recipes. Anyone that knows me knows that I don't cook and I barely prepare food. So Father's Day was the choice. But this was a hard choice since my father died when I was 23. That was MANY years ago. Father's Day between me and my father is a blur as our relationship was never very good...in fact it was abusive. The end years were a little less abusive. We just saw the world differently. And let's face it, he was a weird individual.

But my husband has a wonderful daughter and she is my wonderful step-daughter. I have known her since the age of 2 and she is about 33 now. I love her a lot. She gave him a $50 gift card for amazon.com He loves amazon.com so this was a perfect gift. I no longer grieve over the loss of my father or even my mother since it has been a long time since they have passed. But, the relationship between my daughter and her father is what is important now. They have a good relationship and that matters. I am grateful for that and I depend on her remembering her father every Father's Day. And she does. Bless that woman. She holds a special place in my heart. So that is what Father's Day means to me.

Tamdoll...Tammy

Tamdoll is run by Tammy. Tammy makes fabric jewelry. The image you see above is a necklace. She has made each of the beads herself. That is awesome to me. When I think of making beads for my watches whether from fabric or paper or polymer clay it is overwhelming. She makes earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. She makes other things but go visit her shop and discover it for yourself.

The above photo show a beautiful lavender scarf made by Arlene of Arlene Boutique . I am highlighting her shop here because she does wonderful work and because she was nice enough to include one of my watches in her treasuries. This, of course, made me look at her shop which made me want to promote her shop in my blog. She has really cool scarves in her shop. By now you all know I LOVE LOVE LOVE scarves. A Possible New Adventure

My family and I may be going on a new adventure. For the past month, my husband has been interviewing with two companies in Vancouver, British Columbia. That's right Canada! And I live in California! We may be going on a huge adventure! I am so excited and nervous and I have all kinds of feelings all jumbled together. I just had to blog about it. I will keep you posted. He is suppose to have a face to face interview by the end of June...so we shall see what we shall see.

My Watch is in a Treasury

I just love this little heart watch that is in a treasury. It is a watch with black hearts. I just love it. You can see the whole treasury here . I am so grateful when people include me in their treasuries because I know how hard it is to do them. I have done only one and that was enough for me. I may try again but they are not easy to do! I just listed a watch!

I know it's been a while and I just listed a watch on my Etsy. You can see it here. It is a gold watch with black and gold beads. Very elegant and sophisticated. It is a bit different then I usually make. I hope you like it.

An Etsy Treasury!

I am in another of Shelly's treasuries. She was kind enough to include one of my purple and shell watches in one of her treasuries here . I always feel special when someone includes one of my pieces in their collection. It doesn't happen very often so when it does, I take notice. It's a huge compliment.

Her shop is filled with all kinds of knitted items. The blue scarf you see is one of my favorites in her store. I love scarves and I love blue. She is always working hard on treasuries to promote other people and their artistry while she does fine work herself. Thanks Shelly for including my items in your treasuries.
